i just found out that the cable box/remote/cable modem has to be returned by 5pm.....

well....all but one room and part of the garage is now packed. i hope it all fits on the truck....

the last two things to go on the truck are the computer and the tv. so, hopefully we won't have to suffer through some sort of 1800's evening entertainment scenario tonight. i'm not good at reading for more than a couple hours.

well....the movers have arrived. one step closer to being back in Atlanta....and yet, when they arrived the told us that they wouldn't be done on the date they said. not their fault....apparently this happens all the time. the guy that came to estimate the load told us they'd pack on today and tomorrow and we'd be out of here on Friday. seems that probably won't happen....the guys that showed up to pack and move us are saying Saturday. no big deal. except that mom is ready to go NOW. heh.

we all know the drill....either today you are happy or miserable.

i am miserable.

not because of Valentine's Day...but because i am not able to be at home to get my present. boo on that! i'm in NC staying with zacwolfdotcom and waiting out the blizzard that apparently *destroyed" my part of the country. checked the weather this morning....everything should be cleared out by tomorrow morning....so i'll be leaving in the morning.

this part of my trip...being here with Zac....has been awesome. we were always so good together...and still are. it's like time and distance is never an issue. he truly is the brother i never had.

i've been in Atlanta since last friday....having a good time...but busy.

haven't been out to see the folks' new house yet...i'm betting that will happen on Saturday. supposed to have dinner with Amber on Friday before Murder, She Improvised....that should be fun.



funniest thing i've heard in the last two days....

i didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing....so i washed it anyway.

the only good thing....i'd forgotten how cute the guitar player was. nice.

just when i'm getting into the swing of things.....workout-wise....my back starts acting up again. so, i sit here writing this...after taking a big fat Vicodin and now i'm confined to the couch. so i won't be swimming laps today. oh well....if there's a day that i'd prefer it to happen, today would be the day. i don't want to miss my water aerobics days or my cardio days....so i'll sit and hurt and pout.

who would have ever thought there'd be a day that i pouted because i couldn't work out???

cardio went really well yesterday....i'm starting to build up my time on each machine. yesterday i did 5 on the bike, 10 on the eliptical, and 10 on the treadmill. the trainer says that each week i can add time...as long as they approve it. i'm down with that....the last thing i need is to keel over with a big fat asthma attack right there on the gym floor.

the other good news is that my legs feel great today.....no more burning, searing jello. i'm getting used to it!! wooo! and David was totally right....using my iPod is the best thing ever. i've loaded it with angry break-up songs and that really makes me go go go!

well....i've moved on to the bike/eliptical/treadmill portion of the new workout plan......

my legs are feeling like jello. hurt-y, burning jello.

tomorrow....i get to do it all over again. wooo!

wow....another new year. seems like just yesterday that i vowed that i was gonna be a better LJer....

we all know how that worked out.



this year....different focus. i'm going to be doing more LJing...but i've also made a commitment to doing things to improve my life. mainly changing my exercise and diet. i'm swimming 3 days a week and starting next week, i'm gonna also be doing water aerobics and then, in a couple weeks, i'm gonna add eliptical training to that. i have to make sure that my knee can handle it. i really hope it can....because i LOVE the elpitical machine. it's heaven.

the other big change is that i'm single again. not by choice....but tough shit, right? i think that ending a nearly two year relationship during the holidays probably had a lot to do with this "body/mind/soul commitment" thing i've got going on. if you're gonna have change thrust upon you, why not run with it, right?
